It’s interesting when you go back to the Hebrew and Greek. The definition of “perfect” in the original Bible is to be “growing and maturing”. Nothing like the perfectionism mankind holds us to. Or the kind we try and hold ourselves to.

I am so THANKFUL that this is the true definition of perfection— thank you for highlighting that. I think our modern definition comes from such a twisted, fallen view, but its what we know and are raised to strive for: something that doesn’t EVEN EXIST— for if perfection means without flaw, there is ONLY ONE that attains to that. Jesus Christ.

Oh thank you! I started a podcast a few years ago and I think I did 3 episodes 😆. I love that I can do the audio on here, and this encourages me to do it more.

Beautiful poetry, beautiful writing, beautiful music, and even beautiful dogs - Thank you! Perfectionism has been one of my worst enemies, but recently I’ve not had to struggle with it so much. I know that is God’s doing. 😊🙏🏼

Celebrating with you, I find I struggle less with perfectionism as I get older! Also, I’m a youth pastor, and the teens are SO ACCEPTING of me! It helps a whole lot. And, you can’t REALLY know what to expect around teens, so it’s made me very flexible and accepting of trusting God with my ‘good enough.’ Thank you so much for your sweet compliments and encouragement!
